Hi Valerie, I believe that there might have misinterpretation of a common figure of speech. can't hold a candle to (someone or something) Definition: Cannot compare to someone or something; is not nearly as good or desirable as someone or something. Example: The second movie wasn't bad, but it can't hold a candle to the first. I hope that helps. Rochelle
