¡Qué tal! Me llamo Miguel y soy profe universitario de español. Tengo 49 años y, entre ellos, bastantes de experiencia como docente (más de 20). El cine y la literatura me resultan fascinantes. También me gusta especialmente leer libros de ficción y ver películas de diferentes países del mundo porque son una ventana a culturas diversas. ¡Espero que nos conozcamos pronto!

El español ha sido mi instrumento de trabajo desde hace más de 20 años. Me encantan las palabras y me encanta jugar con ellas. Es un privilegio compartir mi lengua materna con personas de todas partes del mundo y un gusto inmenso escucharles hablar sus primeras palabras en este maravilloso idioma.
The Spanish language has been a very important part of my different jobs for over 20 years. I love words and to play around with them. It is my privilege to share my native language with people from all over the world. My greatest joy in a classroom is to hear my students utter their first words in this amazing language.

Aunque he trabajado mucho tiempo en la educación formal de México y Canadá, puedo darle un enfoque conversacional a tus lecciones de español. Si te interesa más la gramática y la escritura, conozco aquella a fondo y, por ser escritor, he tenido mucha experiencia corrigiendo textos propios y, por supuesto, ajenos. En nuestras clases podemos hablar de temas muy variados: el cine, la literatura, la comida, el intercambio cultural, el arte, la inmigración, etc.
I'm able to give my lessons a conversational approach. We can talk about many different subjects. If you are more interested in developing your grammar and writing skills, I can also help you with that because of my job as a writer.我的教材

Spanish InstructorThis was my first experience teaching Spanish as a second language. I taught the first two levels of the language (A1-A2). It was part of my scholarship as a graduate student at the Department of French, Italian and Spanish.

Book AuthorAuthoring the book entitled "Un comal lleno de voces" (2002). My M.A. thesis on the novel "Pedro Páramo" by Juan Rulfo, published in a collection by the Cultural Institution of the Ayuntamiento de Torreón.

Book AuthorAuthoring the book "Miel de maple" (2007). My fist book of short-stories published by the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila in its collection "Siglo XXI. Escritores coahuilenses".

Ya he completado alrededor de 10 clases de conversación con Miguel. Para cada clase Miguel envía material (podría un cuento o artículo) relacionado con el tema de la próxima clase, que proporciona un buen punto de partida para la conversación y también está desarrollando mi comprensión lectora.
Miguel es flexible y siempre está dispuesto a usar parte del tiempo para ayudarme con cualquier pregunta o dificultad específica que tenga con la gramática. Miguel encuentra un buen equilibrio de corregir mis errores sin interrumpir el flujo de la conversación. Creo que mi fluidez conversacional ha mejorado desde que comencé las clases con Miguel. Me siento más confiado y menos preocupado por cometer errores. ¡Sin duda, recomiendo tomar las clases con Miguel!

Miguel is very fun to work with, he is reliable and extremely knowledgeable as a Spanish professor! We have great conversations and I have learned to speak (conversationally) much better in just 3 short months.
