I was born and bred in the Netherlands, and have lived here all my life. My hobbies are travelling and getting to know cultures and local life. Moreover, I am a dedicated teacher of English and Dutch, as well as a student of foreign languages. My interest in language learning has led me to conduct research into innovative ways of teaching English in various European quarters. In 2019 I obtained a doctorate from Nijmegen University, for my dissertation on Content and Language Integrated Learning.我的教學經歷
I have been a language teacher for over 40 years. I started teaching English in secondary school classes and throughout the years I have developed my English and professional skills. At present I teach content-based English to international students in English-taught higher education programmes. You can also book Dutch lessons with me, at all levels from complete beginner to advanced. What I like best about teaching is that I can help people achieve their language goals, and become confident L2 users, whether on holiday, everyday life, work or study.

I am a good and patient listener, and enjoy finding out what is important for my students. The format of one-to-one teaching suits me best, because I can really pay attention to individual learning styles and needs. Therefore I would advise you to book a trial lesson first: it is important for me to know who you are, what you want to learn and what idioms, materials and learning styles will suit you best.
