I am an American, TEFL-certified, and have been teaching English since retiring in 2019. Prior to this, I was a corporate and tax attorney and a law professor at a University. I love to travel, meet new people, and learn about other cultures. My interests are many and I'm sure we can find something we both like to talk about!我的教學經歷
I am an energetic and enthusiastic teacher who cares about each of my students. I believe that learning doesn’t have to be boring to be effective, even when teaching adults. I look for creative ways to make learning fun and interesting and keep my students engaged. I like to build relationships with my students in order to make them feel valued and important. Getting to know my students also allows me to adapt lesson plans to center around things they are interested in, which leads to better attention and understanding.我的課程內容與教學風格
I like using conversations as a teaching tool. I often send my students a video to watch or something to read ahead of our lesson on a topic that I believe will be of interest. However, I am flexible and adapt my teaching methods to best meet the needs of my students.我的教材

Associate AttorneyI advised business clients on a variety of legal matters, including business formations, mergers and acquisitions, federal and state securities law compliance, and anti-takeover techniques. On behalf o clients, I negotiated, drafted, and reviewed contracts related to every aspect of their operations and spearheaded deals related to business acquisitions and private equity financing.
1993 - 2003
Tenured ProfessorI taught courses in a variety of areas including individual taxation, corporate taxation, partnership taxation, tax research, business planning, employment discrimination, and family law.
2011 - 2019
Assistant DeanAmong other things, my duties included providing individualized advice and guidance to students from diverse backgrounds about employment options, job search strategies, and professional development and developing programming for professional and career success.
2019 - 2020
English Language TeacherI developed lesson plans and taught English language courses to a diverse range of students, including accountants, adult learners, and middle and high school students. I tutored professionals seeking to improve their English-speaking skills for work and career advancement. I taught in a classroom setting, in small groups, and one-on-one.

PartnerI represented clients in a variety of corporate and personal matters; worked as a mediator to resolve disputes without going to court; and performed all functions necessary to run a busy law practice, including administrative, marketing, finance, and computer technology tasks.

Thank you Lisa. Today's lesson was difficult for me I actually don't know how to use grammar tense at all, but I really enjoyed the class I like how you taught me to understand different tenses—feeling my brain is level up!!! :)
