<Self-introduction>
I am Hideyuki Toda, from Japan!
I have experiences living in different countries such as United States and the U.K. when I was a student.
As a professional, I've lived and worked for Goldman Sachs, an distinguished U.S. bank in Singapore over 2 years.
<Hobbies>
1. Love traveling so I've been to over 12 different countries! It is just such a pleasure to learn different culture and lifestyle as well as languages and food.
2. Skateboarding and Surfing are another my passion. I live near by the coast so it is just as essential as breathing !lol
3. Music is another part of my favorite thing. Expressing myself trough singing and playing the piano and guitar is just satisfying!我的教學經歷

I have struggled enough before being able to communicate fluently with English speakers! So I understand how you can learn and practice different languages while you are enjoying the process of learning. Besides being able to speak English, understanding and embodying different cultures are a whole another level. However, I have been exposed to people with different cultures and taken leadership in a global environment as a professional. I am very confident of teaching Japanese in English and vise versa.

<Purpose>
The purposes in my classes are having FUN and being PRACTICAL.
<Goal>
So as to fulfill them, class will be individualized for each student based on their needs and desires. Additionally, deep understanding of different culture is another emphasis in my class because simply knowing a language does not mean you can communicate well with natives. You need to understand culture!
<Lesson>
I know some of you feel bored learning by only textbook.
If you are anime lover, we can watch actual videos or use manga!
If you are into music, we can used the lyrics of the Japanese song.
If you are finding your job, I can set up business interviews.

I have been out of practice for a while for personal reasons and was actually quite nervous about my upcoming class,but Hide Sensei’s calming and encouraging vibe has helped motivate me continue working on my Japanese,many times just as I’m about to give up.He’s a great teacher for all levels and I’d highly recommend him😁本当にありがとございます！

I asked Hide to specifically aim the class towards conversation practice. And so each of our sessions involves talking about life, then bringing up turns of phrase or grammar and new vocabulary. and then he makes a small practice to review in our own time. The class is accompanied by a running document of everything we've worked on together. and his class style is helpful, interesting and cheerful. i really enjoy our classes together. so much so that I've had my husband join us as a group class. we both need the practice :D
