I'm from Miami, Florida and now live in Madrid, Spain. I strive for a balance between structure and fun in my classes with a goal of true language acquisition. I’m truly passionate about making a difference in my student’s lives. Their victories—whether passing a Cambridge exam, getting a job, or just feeling more comfortable conversing—inspire me to keep growing professionally. I have a TEFL certificate to teach English as a foreign language, a bachelor's degree in communication, and a B2 Spanish level. *Only accepting students 13 years or older!*我的教學經歷
Are you able to communicate your basic ideas but know there’s a more native-like or clear way to describe your ideas? Are you learning a lot of new words but forget them when it’s time to use them or are worried about using them in the wrong context?
My classes focus on expanding your vocabulary so that you’re able to say and understand things the way a native-speaker would. Through a mixture of structured activities, conversations, games, and listening/reading, we focus on specific new vocabulary each class that will help you reach the next level in your English journey. *Only accepting students 13 years or older!*我的課程內容與教學風格
ATTENDANCE POLICY: The italki platform provides a great opportunity for flexible scheduling. Within their guidelines they allow rescheduling/cancellation of a lesson before 24 hours of the lesson start time. These requests will always be honored. However, in order to create a fair standard for all of my students, I cannot allow cancellations/reschedules closer to the class time. This is because other students will not be able to take advantage of your time slot and I have a limited amount of hours I’m able to offer each week. In the rare case that I must cancel/reschedule a class due to sickness, I will always offer a refund or rescheduling to all students.我的教材

I love taking classes with Megan! She is well prepared and uses her own PowerPoints, and the lessons are always well structured. She uses various materials, such as songs and short video clips. Personally I don't have much active vocabulary, so it was nice to brainstorm some in class. So far, we have talked about different phrases, verbs, idioms, and useful sentences. Lessons always have a theme and are centered around putting phrases or vocabulary in context, which I appreciate. The way she structured her lessons allowed me to understand the nuances of the language better. She would let me know what sounds native and what are some common phrases that natives use a lot. She's really good at explaining the different contexts of similar-meaning vocabulary and catching my grammar mistakes. My questions are always answered, and her explanations are easy to understand. Her examples are relatable as well. Highly recommend!
