Well, let me start by saying: a warm welcome to my profile. Born in the UK, I have been speaking almost exclusively in English for the past twenty seven years. Ironically, even though I am very passionate about teaching others how to speak my language, I do not in fact speak any other languages.
In terms of education, I hold a wide range of qualifications, including: a university degree specialising in economics, awarded by Sheffield Hallam University; a set of A and AS level awards; and numerous GCSE's. Most recently, too, I successfully passed a 180 Hour TEFL course - which means I am the proud new owner of an accredited TEFL certificate.我的教學經歷
The principle of helping others is a big part of my personal philosophy and how I live my life. The prospect of being an English teacher is very appealing. First and foremost, the responsibility of being a teacher is of the utmost importance, because teachers are responsible for educating future generations. Recognising this, this relationship between the student and teacher, and how it is inextricably related to the future prosperity and development of society, is very motivating for me. Secondly, I would describe myself as extroverted by nature, and moreover, I am a confident communicator. Of course, my lesson plan is dependent on what the student wants to learn, what level their English language is at, and also the predisposition of the student. In general, though, I will customise my lesson plans to the needs of the student(s).我的教材

Level 5 TEFL Certificate - i-to-i - 2021To obtain this certificate, I had to complete ten individual units, each of which focused on a particular aspect of being an English teacher. At the end of each unit, there was an end of unit test, as well as - sometimes - a written assignment.

BA Business Economics - Sheffield Hallam University - 2015Thanks to acquiring this degree, I have obtained a wide range of knowledge related to the spheres of business and economics. Given the predominance of both of these areas in today's society, having such a degree puts me in a sound position to assist students who require improvement in either aspect - whether that is related to vocabulary, or an explanation of the multifaceted processes that comprise these far-encompassing topics.

I'm having a great time with Scott so far, he's a really interesting person to talk to and I never got bored! He understood perfectly what areas I wanted to improve in and I feel like my goals are getting closer and closer after each lesson with him. I would definitely choose Scott as a teacher again if I could.

Sometimes the beauty of language and culture is that it can really convey love and warmth. Scott is an excellent teacher and a very nice person as well. He is patient and supportive, but really knows how to motivate his students. Each class was well planned, enjoyable and helpful.
