Hi, my name is Rebecca and I'm 28 years old. I have 3 years of experience teaching German to students in Vietnam, South Korea and Taiwan and have been tutoring for two years on italki. I'm a positive, energetic person and get excited about explaining material and helping students achieve their personal goals. It's important for me to build a good teacher-student relationship to make the session more fun and relaxing for the student. Correct use of grammar and vocabulary etc. are important, but ultimately it's confidence that will take your speaking ability to the next level!

I have been living abroad for a while and understand the struggle of learning a new language and the frustration of wanting to speak more eloquently or understand the language better. I provide a warm and understanding environment in which you can feel free to make any mistakes and ask any questions you want. It is a safe space for you to practice and grow!

我的課程內容與教學風格

In our first lesson, we look at what you want to achieve and in which time frame. I then come up with a suggested studying/grammar/topic plan for us to follow in the coming lessons. After a few lessons, it will become more clear to me what you need and want and we can adapt the lesson style whenever needed. I usually create a PowerPoint Presentation that I send you after each lesson. I collect new vocabulary from the lesson and come up with a vocabulary list for you to revise. Homework, watching small videos or little exercises are part of my lesson. In case of an upcoming German proficiency test, I will provide you with studying tips and extra material that I correct in my free time.

Eine wunderbare Deutschstunde. Rebecca ist so freundlich und nett, und es macht viel Spaß, mit ihr zu reden. Heute haben wir zuerst über die Weihnachtstraditionen in Norwegen und Deutschland gesprochen. Außerdem hat Rebecca mir vor der Stunde ein Video geschickt und wir haben es dann im letzten Teil der Stunde besprochen. Ich freue mich schon auf unsere nächste Stunde :) Bis bald!
