Hello! I'm Yuka, a native Japanese speaker with over 20 years of experience in global corporate environments, primarily in international banking, I’ve had the opportunity to interact with diverse people and truly enjoy learning about their cultures and perspectives.
I specialize in helping advanced learners and professionals who have a good command of Japanese basics and want to refine conversational skills. My lessons focus on meaningful, in-depth discussions where we explore personal experiences, cultural topics, and current events, aiming to share perspectives in an authentic way. I have been learning Japanese with Yuka-san for quite some time now, and every lesson is an absolute pleasure. Her teaching style is engaging, dynamic, and always tailored to my interests and learning needs.

My lesson with Yuka-sensei was my first on italki, and it was a great decision. I've already got many years of experience with Japanese, but was looking for someone I could speak with to improve my overall confidence when speaking and dig further into business-related/polite Japanese. Though this was just an introduction, she made me feel so confident about my current level of Japanese and my ability to progress. I will definitely be coming back to her for future lessons.
