Hi! 👋 My name is Sulia and I am a Bruneian from Brunei 🇧🇳 which is a small country located in Borneo Island 🏝 in South east Asia. Before moving to Switzerland, I have done my PhD in Italy for three years and I have graduated in September 2022. During my stay in Italy, I have met many people from different countries with a vast array of cultures and languages which I have grown an interest to. I am currently living in Switzerland where I work as a researcher in the university here. I speak English, Malay, Indonesian and some Italian. In my free time I like running, hiking and watching movies! We can talk about anything such as travel, music, movies and etc.我的教學經歷
I am a friendly 😃 and an adventurous person✈️. I started teaching Malay, English and Indonesian to foreigners and I have done language exchange during my stay abroad in Italy especially to people who want to improve their English. I speak Malay and Indonesian which are also my native language. Malay and Indonesian are languages spoken in four countries in South east Asia 🗺 which includes Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Brunei. So if you are interested to learn these Malay languages, I can teach you basic communication skills 🗣 for your trips or even if you want to learn a new language, I am the teacher for you!我的課程內容與教學風格

My mother-language is so so far from Malay but in 1 month I am able to create sentence by myself.
Learning a foreign language online is always tricky and difficult but Sulia makes it look so easy.

My two boys aged 7 and 11, have been having regular lessons with Dr. Sulia for the last 6 months or so. She is very organised and tailors the lessons specifically for each child and their level/aptitude. My older boy especially loves his lessons and looks forward to each one. He transitioned easily from half-hour lessons to a full hour each week. My younger boy isn't as keen but Sulia makes an effort to find out his interests to see how she can make the lessons more appealing for him. Will highly recommend Sulia to anyone looking to learn Malay!
