Hello! My name is Abe. I’m passionate about cooking, reading, watching movies, and learning new languages. I hold a TEFL certificate in English and have a degree in Psychology. While I currently live in the Philippines, I grew up in Saudi Arabia. I’m a native speaker of both English and Filipino, and I also know a bit of Arabic. Having lived in a city with a rich cultural diversity, I’ve come to appreciate how learning a language is deeply intertwined with its cultural context. I used to teach English at my university, where I worked with foreign exchange students and also had language exchange partners. After that, I decided to pursue my passion for teaching. Along the way, I realized that teaching is a two-way street—you learn just as much from your students as they do from you. I find it incredibly fulfilling to watch my students succeed through their own efforts. I also take great pleasure in breaking down complex ideas in a way that makes them easier to understand. I like to take things slow at the beginning to assess the student’s level and identify any areas of difficulty through basic conversation. From there, I address the initial concerns and tailor the tutoring to fit the student’s specific needs. I make sure to find out if the student wants to focus on improving pronunciation, practicing conversation, or something else. I believe in being patient and not overly pushy, as open communication with the student is key. Currently, I teach conversation practice, pronunciation correction, and interview preparation. My lessons are conducted in English, so I expect students to have an understanding of the language.我的教材

I had a productive and enjoyable lesson, sharpening my English skills with the guidance of Mr. Abdullah. Despite not being a morning person, the class was engaging and fun, which kept me energized throughout. Since I often speak French and travel to countries where English isn’t the primary language, my thought process in English has slowed down, even though it’s my first language.
