Hello! I'm excited you’ve chosen Indonesian as your next language to master!
I am Richard Halim, a graduate student from Blitar, Indonesia, and I am ready to guide you as you explore this wonderful language.
I have experience as an exchange student and have guided fellow exchange students from around the globe. My passion lies in sharing about Indonesia with people from other countries and exploring new cultures and languages.
I speak Indonesian, Javanese, English, and Dutch, and I am actively learning more about the languages I speak. As a fellow language learner, I can provide insights into the learning process from an on-the-ground perspective.我的教學經歷
With experiences in the academic and professional field in Indonesia, I am beyond thrilled to share not only the Indonesian language but also Indonesian culture in general. This is perfect for future international students and professionals looking to expand and explore Indonesia.我的課程內容與教學風格
To immerse my students, I occasionally conduct virtual tours using Google Street View, where I can introduce them to Indonesian street signs, adverts, and other interesting aspects that are rarely discussed in formal lesson plans.
I can teach Bahasa Indonesia to both beginner and intermediate-level students. With various teaching tools and materials, I am confident that regardless of your proficiency level, you will be able to pick up interesting tips and tricks about Bahasa Indonesia with me.

I really enjoy Richard’s teaching style. He’s friendly, approachable, and easy-going, which makes learning with him a comfortable experience. His teaching is clear and well-structured, and after each class, he sends me all the materials in a Google Doc format, so I can easily access them anytime. We started with basic greetings, and now we’ve moved on to numbers and currency. With each lesson, I’m learning more and more, and it’s great because Richard is an excellent teacher.

Hari ini Richard tulis teks untuk kelas kami. ✍🏼 Itu menarik dan indah.🔝 Aku belajar kata baru banyak. Richard is so patient, calm, friendly. He encourages me and explains the meaning of the words skillfully with many examples. 🏃🏻♀️He doesn't rush and keeps the perfect pace for my learning, therefore I don't feel pressured at all. Every lesson is an incredible learning experience. 🌄 I can sit back, relax and take in all the knowledge that is just flowing in the air.
🐣 If you are a beginner, like me, Richard is THE best teacher for you. He will creatively guide you through this bahasa indah and in just a couple of lessons you will find yourself already speaking some full sentences and even expressing your thoughts in Indonesian. 🇮🇩

As my vocabulary is slowly growing, Richard is pointing me to the 'actual' use of words by native speakers of Bahasa Indonesia. This is helping to form conversational sentences as opposed to rigid 'grammatical' speech.
