Maya

Maya is fantastic. She makes you feel really comfortable and encourages you throughout the whole process. She came prepared with slides and also gave me additional practice to help me through the week. We went through a lot in a little amount of time; I'm excited to work with her again.

Highly recommend using Maya. As a beginner she has made me feel extremely supported and understood. She's very easy to connect with and is very patient. She speaks very clearly in Mandarin and English so you don't have to worry if you are a beginner because she can explain the what's and why's in English.

I have been working with Maya for 6 months. She is great, as she emphasizes using the material we are learning in organic conversation. She thinks a lot about different resources and approaches outside of the text, and finds ways to help you lean vocab that is most applicable to you. Would highly recommend!

I really liked my first lesson with Maya. She is a very calm and soft-spoken person and seems very friendly. Even though I hadn't spoken Mandarin in 2 years, she made me feel very comfortable as I tried to remember all of the things that I learned. She has a standard accent and speaks very clearly and her pace was perfect for someone around my level (I guess I am around B1.) I am going to start my Chinese language journey again and would like to take more classes with her in the future.
