Hello! It’s a pleasure to meet you. 😊
My name is Sofia, and I’m a language tutor. I love teaching, literature, and learning new languages, which is why I’m studying English and Portuguese languages and literatures at university as part of a secondary school teacher training program.
Since 2021, I’ve been teaching English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese to students of all ages. In addition to my literature degree, I am pursuing an online English teaching certificate from Arizona State University. I recently graduated with a degree in Accounting, which qualifies me to teach Business Portuguese as well.我的教學經歷
As a teacher, I believe in creating a supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable to express themselves and take risks in their learning. My lessons are designed to be interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student's needs. I focus on creating a balance between speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, ensuring that students develop well-rounded language proficiency. I integrate a variety of materials, from textbooks to multimedia resources, to keep lessons dynamic and relevant.
My teaching style is adaptable, allowing me to adjust lessons based on each student's learning pace and preferences. I encourage active participation, feedback, and self-reflection, and I strive to make learning enjoyable while maintaining a professional and supportive atmosphere.我的教材

I really enjoyed my first class with Sofia. We had a very dynamic class, packed with practice and different exercises. Sofia also shares my interest in grammar, so our class was a nice mixture of grammar practice and informal conversations about this and that. I highly recommend her classes!
