I'm Simona, 28, grew up in Switzerland and currently living in the USA. I have a bachelor's in social work and teaching certifications for English (TEFL) and German (DAZ/DAZ). I'm a passionate language learner, I master English (TOEFL), German, and Swiss German (both Native). Furthermore, I speak an advanced level of Spanish because I traveled and lived in Central and South America for about two years. My current language projects are French intermediate level and American Sign Language (ASL). I'm also a passionate rock climber and traveler, and interested in nature, culture, science, linguistics, history, and much more.我的教學經歷
I completed a postgraduate certification to teach German as a foreign or second language by the Goethe Institute and the Friedrich Schiller University of Germany (DAF/DAZ).
I always have been inspired by methodology and teachers, who make you enjoy the class and keep it diverse. I've helped and taught kids and adolescents in projects in South America and worked with adolescents and adults in Switzerland and Online. My experience made me aware of the importance of asking questions and listening carefully to each other. You learn a language practicing all it's forms (speaking, reading, writing, and listening). Fun fact: Modern science has shown that pleasure reading has a way higher influence on reaching fluency, than regular grammar classes.
To learn a language means: to learn about the foundation of a language, experiment with the language, and connect the language with emotions and experiences that form memories. If you are struggling to learn German in a classroom, my methodology can offer various tools and new customized pathways to language learning.

Goethe-Zertifikat DAF/DAZ - Goethe Institut - 2023This is an after diploma studies that takes between 1-1.5 years. This certificate qualifies me to teach German as a foreign or second language, in German DAF/DAZ (Deutsch als Fremdsprache oder als Zweitsprache).

I look forward to my conversation lessons with Simona. Our sessions are well-structured and cover a wide variety of interesting and relevant topics - in the past few weeks, we've talked about art, climbing, Stonehenge, immigration and nuclear waste. She is a patient and energetic conversation partner, and corrects my grammatical and lexical mistakes with clear explanations.

Again a great lesson. We followed some of my Swiss German book. She explained some differences, gave some examples, corrected my mistakes . She really is a good teacher.
