Hello, Everyone! Nice to meet you here. I am Monica, a new teacher at italki!
I was born and grew up in Seoul (clear standard accent) and I graduated from Korea University (고려대학교) with bachelor's degree in education.
🌸 I am a very patient person and I genuinely understand how hard it would be to learn Korean language. I always try my best to build encouraging classroom atmosphere so that you can have more confidence in speaking Korean.
🌸 I am a very organized person and I really want my students will get the most out of their time with me. I make sure to prepare my lesson in advance and teach in a effective and structured way.我的教學經歷
I am a certified Korean teacher and I've taught regular programs (KIIP 사회통합프로그램) in local immigrants center in Korea. I am currently teaching online and in-person, enjoying meeting Korean learners from all over the world with different backgrounds. I genuinely understand how hard it would be for a foreigner to learn Korean and I am willing to help you with all my heart. ♡
And yes, I do make sure to provide helpful assignments, interactive activities, and evaluation/feedback to boost your Korean skills fast.
🌸 I am particularly good with absolute beginners and slow learners. I have a lot of experience in teaching elementary, intermediate, advanced level students including TOPIK II exams.我的課程內容與教學風格

I've been studying with Teacher Monica for two months now and I really enjoy her teaching methods. Each lesson is well-structured. She injects each topic with lots of opportunities for natural conversation practice. She always provides me with a range of activities that tests different skills, and I genuinely feel that no moment is wasted when I am studying with her.

Teacher Monica is very patient and encouraging. She shared materials way in advance, allowing me enough time to prepare for the session. She gave detailed responses to my questions (and I had many!) so I could understand the nuance and context behind certain words and expressions. Her lesson struck a good balance between instruction and conversation.
