Konnichiwa!
I'm Mariko. I was born in Japan and have 13 years of experience living abroad (California + Idaho, USA and Surrey BC, Canada).
I have taught Japanese classes as a TA at the University of Idaho for 3 years where I graduated with the BS degree in Psychology. I have also worked as a school counselor at an English school in Tokyo and have taught English and Japanese in private settings. I will be able to teach you in detail, fully understanding the differences in nuance of language with enthusiasm, and without any doubt when you leave the class!我的教學經歷
My lessons will mainly focus on conversation because I understand that speaking is the HARDEST part for all of us when learning foreign languages. Additionally, you will need a partner to communicate, and I am happy to become one of your conversation partners!
I understand students' fears and frustrations because I am also a French learner. Learning a new language requires time and consistency, but it is a great journey that we can pursue for a lifetime!
