I'm Jack - a native British English speaker and fully qualified teacher. I have both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in English, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching English. I love to travel, to teach and to learn. These three things have been the driving forces in my life. I have taught in China, Georgia, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom, and have travelled all over the world. I once cycled from my home in Wales to China - a journey of 7 months and 21 countries. I love meeting people from very different cultures from my own, and learning from them. I enjoy keeping fit, hiking, writing stories about my adventures, climbing and paddle boarding.我的教學經歷
I am a professional English teacher with 10 years experience of teaching English, both as a foreign language and an academic subject. I have both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in English, and a Postgraduate Certificate of Education in Teaching English. I have taught in the full range of contexts and cultures.
I believe in flexibility and patience when it comes to working with clients, and have the experience to adapt to the needs of my students. Whether students want to learn through natural conversation, are beginners looking to get to grips with the basics, or advanced learners who want to take a deep dive into the intricacies of English grammar, I have got them covered.我的課程內容與教學風格
In every lesson, progress is key. This comes through understanding what my students already know, teaching them new knowledge and skills in clear steps, and then re-checking learning to ensure progress has been made. I believe that lessons should have a clear objective, and for the subject matter to be taught in a clear and focussed manner. Making mistakes, and learning from them, is encouraged.
My lessons can be relaxed and conversational, if that is the area that the student wants to work on, or if that is the style that suits their learning needs. They can also be more focussed and academic if the student is looking for a much more formal approach to learning.我的教材
