My background is in medical speech pathology (SLP) and I have owned my own accent training business for almost 20 years helping fluent, non-native speakers of English with polishing pronunication, accent and speech clarity to improve speaking confidence as professionals using English daily at work. I LOVE accents, and advocate for loving and keeping your accent! Just a few simple changes to polish the accent will often improve clarity and reduce the need to repeat what you say. With accent training, the listening skills also improve and this helps listeners understand other accents different than their own, including the accents of native speakers of English.我的教學經歷
30 year background as an SLP teaching and improving communication with adults who have had medical-related voice disorders, stroke rehab, etc. Almost 20 years as an accent training coach, working with non-native English speaking people from all first language backgrounds. I have received awards and 5-Star/100% Satisfaction ratings from students all over the world. My lessons are customized to the needs of the individual. I do a listening assessment to determine the top issues that are impacting a person's speech clarity and then suggest a priority list of what to address first, for the fastest improvement to clarity. Often, a professional will have an upcoming presentation or list of industry-related vocabulary that they struggle to pronounce clearly, and we can address those things first for quick "wins". I am familiar with medical terminology and can help physicians and others with better pronouncing medical terminology as well. My style is kind, friendly, encouraging and I deeply respect the sensitivity students have regarding accents.我的教材

MS, CCC-SLP - University of Illinois, C-U - 1985I am nationally certified with my CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) by ASHA ( American Speech Language Hearing Association), I am cerified as a Preferred Trainer with LDS and Associates, and I have certification for accent training via PESL.

PresidentAs President of Clear Speech Specialists, I have developed and completed individual accent/pronunication classes and programs for C-Suite level executives, employees, entrepreneurs, physicians, engineers, etc., and I have designed, developed and implemented group training for speech clarity/accent training for ESOL Teachers, interpreter groups and others for in-person training.

碩士 - Speech-Language PathologyI received a bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing Science from the U of I- Champaign-Urbana in 1983, and then my Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 1985. That was 39 years ago... and my official diploma- if you need that- will take me some time to find! LOL After my Masters Degree- I was required to have 9 months of supervisions before receiving my CCC- Certificate of Clinical Competence, which I have renewed annually for 39 years. I will attach that and my state certification .
