My name is Mayu. I am originally from Aichi prefecture. I have lived in the US, Canada and Australia and England.
I've completed the 420 hour long Japanese Language Teaching Competency Course.
My previous experience includes teaching Japanese to students whilst living in Australia and England.我的教學經歷
Japanese is a difficult language to learn, but let's do our best together whilst also having fun!
I take into consideration your strengths and weaknesses, and I like to work with students to decide which areas to focus on during lessons. I try to keep lessons fun and engaging, by creating a comfortable and supportive environment.我的課程內容與教學風格
⭐️ About my lessons ⭐️
1) I use my own materials based on a textbook (Minna no nihongo). I will share the materials during and after each lesson, so you don’t have to prepare any textbooks.
2) My lessons are designed for adult learners aged 18 and above. I currently do not offer lessons for children.我的教材

Today was our second lesson, and Mayu-sensei's supportive style helped me relax and speak more fluently. I still forgot a lot of grammar and vocabulary, but she was able to scaffold the conversation, allowing us to discuss several topics. 頑張り続けます。ありがとうございます

Mayu made me feel at ease when learning new vocabulary and she is more than willing to give further explanation when required. She is patient and calm which helps when you are trying to get pronunciation correct. 5*

I haven't spoken Japanese for a long time and Mayu-sensei was patient and supportive as I searched for the vocabulary and grammar. She made suggestions to help me form my sentences and repeated back my phrases with some gentle corrections. I would like to keep learning to try to regain some fluency.
