Hey there, I'm Eliška, and I'm excited to help you learn Czech or enhance your current Czech language skills through conversation! I'm from the Czech Republic, from the beautiful city of Prague, where I completed my primary and high school education. Currently, I'm based in England. My background includes a degree in Modern Languages and Art History, which has deepened my appreciation and understanding of languages. I'm passionate about exploring new places, trying delicious food, connecting with people from diverse backgrounds, and immersing myself in different cultures through travel. As a community teacher here on Italki, I focus solely on conversation classes. Having studied Modern Languages during my undergraduate degree combined with three years of English teaching experience, I have developed a deep understanding of language acquisition and effective teaching methods. The way I learned English was mostly by watching English YouTube videos about things I loved and chatting with my friends in English. That's when I really started to see progress. And you know what? I'd love to do the same for you! By chatting with me about topics you enjoy, you can improve your Czech language skills in a fun and natural way. We can talk about anything you like, or if you prefer, I'm happy to prepare a designated topic for each lesson. Eliška is a wonderful person to learn from. I appreciate her skill in holding a conversation, even if your level of Czech isn’t that high. She introduces new vocabulary, explains everything in an understandable way, writes things down for you, and is overall a kind, patient, and caring person to talk to and learn from. I’m looking forward to our next lesson.
