I am a language-learning hobbyist! I spend several hours every day studying foreign languages, and I am advanced enough to read novels written at an adult level in German, French, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, and Norwegian (although my speaking skills do need some work!). Languages are absolutely fascinating to me.
I have been happy to provide instruction to my students for many years now. It is one of the best feelings in the world when one of my students has lightbulb moment because of me and my instruction. I'm proud to have been able to help so many people.我的教學經歷
I have worked as both an ESL teacher and as an accent coach for six years now. I've worked with students from all over the world.
I specialize in students aged 16+, and my main focus is on helping my students speak with a General American accent. I have a very deep, comprehensive knowledge of phonetics, including familiarity with most of the world's major languages. I can pronounce almost any sound from all of the world's major languages. I use this every day in class to help you succeed!
I also provide writing instruction, for students who want to improve their ability with the written word. Outside of iTalki, I work as an editor, so I am well-qualified to help my students with this.我的課程內容與教學風格
For students who come to me for accent instruction, the first lesson is always a series of exercises designed to help me diagnose pronunciation issues. After that, we decide together what sounds we want to start with. In class, I'll teach you how to pronounce each sound on its own before moving on to more complex words and phrases.
For students who want help with their writing ability, I often give writing assignments. I might ask you to write an essay, rewrite a text, or lead you through some exercises designed to boost your creativity. If you are up for it, I might give reading assignments as well.我的教材
