I used to work as a tour conductor and have traveled overseas more than 100 times.
My favorite country is New Zealand.
I'm interested in the food and cultures of different countries.
I have stayed in China and studied Chinese before, and it was challenging for me.
Learning a foreign language is fun, but sometimes it can be difficult.
I understand how learners feel when they struggle with language learning.
As a Japanese teacher, I have 20 years of teaching experience.
I started teaching Japanese on italki in October 2024.
I am happy to be able to teach Japanese from Japan to learners all over the world.

I have 20 years of teaching Japanese.
I have experience teaching various Japanese levels, from beginners to advanced students.
I opened a private tutoring school for elementary and junior high school students.
As a volunteer, I have also helped children with overseas roots learn Japanese.
I have extensive experience in teaching children, and can also teach children with learning disabilities.
I'm very interested in why my students want to learn Japanese and what goals they have.
I do my best to support them until they reach their goals.

I value each student's level of understanding, personality, and learning pace.
I specialize in teaching beginner-level Japanese, using the 'Minna no Nihongo' as an example.
You will be able to learn Japanese grammar step by step and in a systematic way.
By doing so, you can become a confident Japanese speaker.
In addition to grammar, we will touch on Japanese customs and culture.
This will deepen your understanding of the Japanese language.
All questions are welcome. Sometimes it becomes my homework.
Even if it's something I don't know much about, such as anime, I'll research it before the next lesson.

individual tutoring teacherI opened a private tutoring school in 2018, where I teach students both in Japan and abroad. Some of my students live overseas and attend extracurricular Japanese schools. In my lessons, I focus on teaching Kanji as well as reading and writing in Japanese. I tailor my teaching to each student's needs, ensuring they make steady progress in their Japanese language skills. I have experience teaching kanji to children with learning disabilities.

Mayumi-san is a very knowledgeable and experienced Japanese teacher. I found her conversational teaching style especially helpful for speaking skills. She's also really good at explaining concepts of Japanese language in a way that’s easy to understand.
