Hi! I am Seçil. I've studied "English Language Teaching" and I graduated with high distinction from İstanbul University - Cerrahpaşa. Now, I am pursuing my Master's degree in "Language and Mind: Linguistics and Cognitive Studies" at Siena University.
I love languages! I have special interest in linguistics topics and talks! And mostly with the fun ones! Besides, I enjoy listening music and making music. I can play -of course not professionally!- classical and electro guitar. Lately, I even started to learn bass guitar! Last but not least, I love cats. (I have 7 cats!)我的教學經歷
I am an English teacher who has experience both in high school and private lessons. Also, I've started to give private Turkish lessons in Italy for a while!
As a young teacher and a student, I follow a personalised path for every student. Because everyone's learning need is unique. Moreover, this learning journey should not make you feel like it is a burden but rather it is fun! It is adventurous, it is illuminating!
My opinion on teaching/learning is more base on Communicative Language Teaching. Of course we will learn grammar but mostly we will interact in a meaningful way like our predecessor did!

First of all, I need to know about your learning goal, level of language and interests! Thanks to these information, I can create a special study plan for you, don't forget I was taught for this! Teaching method will depend on the student's level and the lesson chosen but mainly it will be communicative! (I also attend IB classes during my practicum.)
We'll utilise the 4 domains of language which are reading, speaking, writing and listening. From some time to time, I may give you homework, don't hate me! :)
In a nutshell, i want my students to sit back, relax and enjoy the class so that learning can be natural, interesting and fun!我的教材

Mezuniyet Belgesi - İstanbul Üniversitesi Cerrahpaşa - 2022Training of Teachers of English as a Foreign/Second Language: levels A1 to C2. This is a training course for specialisation in the teaching of English at the highest levels, with particular emphasis on pedagogical tools and on the deepening of important aspects for the development of content according to the levels. Vice versa for first language.
