I'm Nao.
I live in Hyogo Prefecture now. I have many hobbies. I love studying English and Korean and playing the ukulele. I like music and films.
👩🏫 I have been teaching Japanese for three years. I also work for after-school activity classes in Japanese primary schools.
🏫 For one year from March 2019, I taught Japanese in offline classes at a Japanese language school in Warsaw, Poland. On a temporary return trip, I was unable to return to Warsaw due to the corona, so I returned to Japan.
💻 Since returning to Japan, I have been teaching Japanese only online to people from different countries and regions.我的教學經歷
👍 Students who have signed up privately as well as italki say that they feel relaxed as if they are talking to a friend, that the lessons are well prepared, and that Nao-san is funny and the lesson time seems to go very quickly.
【Japanese language teaching qualifications】
📃 June 2015: completed the studies for the Teaching Japanese Language Course
📃 February 2022: AJLC certified ”the Children's Japanese Language Teacher Qualification Course”

The lessons are basically conducted in Japanese. Sometimes simple English or Korean is used to give explanations.
📚 For over 13 years old ✏️
・The lessons are basically based on the textbooks 'Irodori' and 'Marugoto' published by the Japan Foundation. Sometimes I also use news articles for lessons. I use a variety of tools to make the lessons fun.
・I have conversation-based lessons, but I also give grammar quizzes and quizzes at the end of each topic of the text to check achievement and understanding.
🐻 For 4 - 11 years old 🐰
For Kids' lessons, no textbooks are used. Puppets and games are used to make the lessons fun.

Speaking Japanese with Nao was a fantastic lesson for many reasons!
First, she is organized and is able to use resources to focus on a topic to discuss about. This is great for someone who is unsure of what to talk about in another language (as I do!).
Second, the flow of discussion is probably my favorite part of the lesson. We talked about current news in Japan and then the discussion organically flowed to our opinions, personal experiences and into other areas of relative interests. This is what I look for in speaking partners because talking in a language I'm learning just feels natural!
And I have to mention that Nao is very friendly, encouraging, direct and is able to understand even when communication is a little challenging.
One hour seems long but when it's this engaging time just flies by, so I hope to take another lesson in the future! Thank you, Nao!

She's really helpful when I tried to push my speaking a little further than my ability allows. Keep a notebook handy!
