Hi! My name is Sunet, and I am passionate about teaching and helping others achieve their language-learning goals. 📚
I speak English and Afrikaans fluently. With my background in education and experience teaching both children and adults, I understand the challenges learners face and how to support them effectively. Outside of teaching, I enjoy exploring new cultures, traveling, and spending time in the nature.
My goal is to create a welcoming environment where you feel encouraged to learn and grow. I understand exactly what it takes to learn a new language, as I am currently learning Italian myself.我的教學經歷
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Human Movement Science and Physiology, an Honors degree in Biokinetics, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). With two years of hands-on experience in a gym, I specialized in working with orthopedic injuries and rehabilitation, helping individuals regain their strength and mobility. After that, I transitioned into teaching, where I have had the opportunity to work with students in schools and now teach online. I’m passionate about making learning interactive and fun, and I focus on helping students feel confident while learning.我的課程內容與教學風格
In my lessons, I create a relaxed yet professional atmosphere, adapting to each student's needs. I aim to make learning enjoyable while maintaining a high level of professionalism. I use a mix of materials such as PDF documents, slides, videos, and articles to keep the lessons diverse and engaging. I believe in balancing fluency and accuracy in language learning. It's not just about memorizing rules but building the confidence to communicate effectively. I enjoy teaching conversational English and also like structured lessons. Level 5 Diploma in TEFL - The TEFL Academy - 2022I completed 168 guided learning hours and pass 10 units covering essential areas such as lesson planning, teaching vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar, as well as developing receptive (listening and reading) and productive (speaking and writing) skills. The program also includes classroom management, the effective use of teaching materials, and an overview of the history of English language teaching. Assessments involve assignments, lesson planning, and practical teaching demonstrations.
