Hello, I’m Tomomi. I have lived in the UK for more than 10 years.
I grew up in Gunma, Japan and then studied jewellery and worked for companies in Tokyo before moving to London.
I used to work at a Japanese travel agency in London so I would love to support people who want to visit or who just like Japan!
I like watching films, travel, coffee, cooking, eating(I’m a big foodie😋) and talking!
こんにちは！わたしの名前はともみです。イギリスに10年以上住んでいます。
群馬県出身、イギリスに住む前は、東京でジュエリーのデザインと彫金の勉強をし、会社員をしていました。
ロンドンの日系旅行会社で働いていたことがあるので、日本に行きたい！日本が好き！という方の手助けをしていきたいです。
趣味は、映画、旅行、コーヒー、おいしいご飯を作ること、食べること😋、いろんな人とお話しすることが大好きです🎵我的教學經歷
I’m currently taking a Japanese Language Teacher Training Course(Hopefully get certified in 2025🤞)
I have studied English a lot and I am still learning everyday as I'm in the UK so I understand how language lerners and people who lives abroad feel and I know how to keep them motivated💪
Even if you don't understand Japanese at all or have no confident, no worries!
I will be supporting you and keeping you relaxed during my lessons😄
現在、日本語教師の資格を取るために勉強をしています。
わたしも英語をたくさん勉強しましたし、イギリスに住んでいるので毎日が英語の勉強です。なので、語学を勉強する人、母国語ではない国に住んでいる人の気持ちはとてもよくわかりますし、どうしたらやる気持ちが出せるのかも知っています。
まったく日本語がわからなくても、自信がなくても大丈夫！

In my lesson, I aim for lots of speaking. Let's practice new vocabulary and grammar out loud🗣️

I have had a handful of lessons with Tomomi Sensei and I really enjoy how easy it is to digest Japanese with her. I don’t feel pressured to be correct and it’s fun to try. When Tomomi Sensei does correct me, she does it in a way that I don’t feel bad or like I’m not trying hard enough. I also really enjoy the lesson summaries she creates as I find them really helpful to look over.

I've had two lessons with Tomomi Sensei now and I'm really enjoying it. It's really easy to talk with Tomomi Sensei. The way she explains things is easy to understand and she's very patient with me while I try to formulate my answers. I've already booked another lesson!! I think I can get far in my Japanese studies with Tomomi Sensei c:

I’ve only had a couple of lessons with Tomomi so far and I’m really enjoying it; She’s very interactive and creates good content to work with during lessons. I look forward for more lessons to keep improving my Japanese!

it was my second lesson with Tomomi, and she is a wonderful teacher. she is patient when i make mistakes, and is helping me very well to learn japanese😊

i had a lovely trial lesson. i look forward to continuing my studies with Tomomi. she had a very nice approach, and i felt comfortable and encouraged at all times. i recommend her lessons wholeheartedly.
