Hi! My name is Abeer. I’m an American-Egyptian, currently living in the United States. I was born and raised in Egypt, where I spent most of my life before moving to the U.S. over a decade ago. I’m a wife, a mom, and a teacher, and I love connecting with people from different backgrounds!
Being bilingual has shaped the way I see the world—I understand what it’s like to navigate between two languages and cultures. I enjoy meaningful conversations, storytelling, and lifelong learning. - Developed and implemented a customized ELA curriculum tailored to the academic needs and cultural values of middle school students.

Elementary School ESOL Teacher- Used both the plug-in and pull-out approaches to enhance the reading, writing, listening and speaking skills of my Pre-K, 1st, 4th and 5th grade ESOL students.
- Worked with 2nd, 3rd and 5th grade newcomer ESOL students on transferring their literacy skills from their own languages into English.
- Taught some students whose schooling had been interrupted due to immigration or family members’ deaths, and helped them get back on track with the students in their grade level.
