Hello! My name is Megumi.
I was born in Shizuoka, Japan. Now I live in Kanagawa, near Tokyo.
I live with my husband and our 2-year-old daughter.
I love traveling abroad!
I have visited the U.S., the U.K., France, Italy, Spain, Finland, Estonia, Czech Republic, Singapore, and South Korea.
I also love learning languages!
I enjoy playing with my child and reading manga in my free time.

日本の静岡県で生まれ、神奈川県（東京の近く）に住んでいます。
夫と2歳の娘と一緒に暮らしています。
海外旅行が大好きです✈️🌏
これまでに、アメリカ・イギリス・フランス・イタリア・スペイン・フィンランド・エストニア・チェコ・シンガポール・韓国に行ったことがあります。
私も語学を学ぶことが大好きです！
子供と一緒に遊ぶこと、漫画を読むことも好きです。我的教學經歷
I have been teaching Japanese online since October 2024. Before that, during my student days, I supported international students as a volunteer and taught Japanese through language exchange.
I majored in Japanese linguistics at university. My lessons are fun and relaxed, like chatting with a friend. 😊
I’m also studying English.
I’m not fluent, but I can give simple support in English.
Recently, I started learning Spanish too.
2024年10月からオンラインで日本語を教えています。
学生時代にボランティアスタッフとして留学生のサポートや、言語交換で日本語を教えたことがあります。また、大学で日本語学を専攻していました。
リラックスした雰囲気で友達と話すような楽しいレッスンができます。
私も英語を勉強しています。
流暢ではありませんが、英語でも簡単なサポートができます。

While we talk, I will explain pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar.
By having lots of conversations, you can learn to speak natural Japanese more smoothly.

Just had my 2nd lesson with Megumi today. What a wonderful teacher she is. She is very patient, understanding, and open to talk about anything. I usually don’t write tons of reviews on italki, but Megumi definitely deserves on in my opinion

It was my first time speaking with Megumi, and she was lovely! The lesson was very relaxed and casual, with many opportunities to speak. I was able to learn grammar from the first lesson which was very helpful! I highly recommend Megumi Sensei!
