I'm a CELTA (Cambridge University Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) qualified teacher which is considered to be the gold standard and most widely recognized teaching qualification. During my CELTA training, I taught online lessons to students from all over the world including Thailand, Egypt, Oman, Peru, Colombia, Portugal, and Spain. My first language is English and I have lived in several countries including Croatia, Turkey, and Italy. I'm a dual Italian-American citizen and I'm very grateful to live in Europe currently. I live in Denmark and my children are in the process of learning Danish. Nowhere in Denmark are you ever more than 50km from the sea!我的教學經歷
I'm naturally curious and I have a warm personality which helps me to connect easily with many people. I truly enjoy teaching and building rapport with my students. I work with a range of levels to develop students' speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills. I've had great success with teaching professionals who need to improve their English in business settings and with teaching individual lessons to students who want to improve their academic marks and pass exams. I'm a perceptive teacher and one of my strengths is understanding the goals of each student and then achieving those goals using effective materials that I select specifically to support the individual student.我的課程內容與教學風格
As I've learned through experience, students who are comfortable will acquire language skills more rapidly. I help students feel at ease during our lessons together by selecting relevant and engaging topics. I like to use conversation to practice pronunciation and to build vocabulary. Informal spoken English is quite idiomatic and varies significantly from many sources of written English. My students learn to better understand and speak conversational English through our dialogues. I lived in the U.K. and I also explain the differences between British English and American English when necessary. If a student needs support with their school work and materials, then I'm glad to focus on that.我的教材

CELTA - Cambridge University - 2020This certificate provided me with several hours of observed teaching practice which I received feedback on from peers and my DELTA qualified teachers. I learned many practical teaching techniques and gained an understanding of where to find and how to use teaching resources and materials.

In building substitute teacherI worked as a full-time certified substitute teacher at an elementary school where I taught literacy and ESL students in small groups. I also provided individual literacy and English language support to students.
2023 - 2024
TeacherAa a teacher with Babylon Lingue, I created and implemented lesson plans for three weekly classes at a private middle school using personalized, student-centered learning activities to engage and encourage speaking and writing practice. Additionally, I taught weekly small group lessons and individual lessons to improve listening and reading comprehension, target speaking practice, clarify grammatical structures, and resolve problems with meaning, form, and pronunciation.

學士學位 - PsychologyI studied Literature from 1997 - 2000, left university for work opportunities, and then returned to university in 2002. I completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychology in January 2005.
