I'm originally from Moscow, but I've been living in the Netherlands since 2021.
On my YouTube channel I publish videos in Russian about my everyday life and some thoughts about living abroad so feel free to check them out 😉
Because of my passion for languages I've studied linguistics at university in Moscow where I also completed a course of teaching Russian as a foreign language.
For 5 years I was a proud member of Easy Russian team and created educational content for Russian learners.我的教學經歷
My students say that they have never felt so confident speaking Russian as at our lessons.
I believe that you can gain this feeling the only way: by not being afraid of making mistakes and still be aware of those mistakes afterwards and fix them in a gentle way.
I know the process of learning a foreign language both as a teacher and as a student, which helps me to understand my students and the challenges they meet (both in learning the language particularly and managing your life as a language learner). So at our lessons I encourage you to express yourself in Russian and lead our conversation in a gentle way so that you can speak as much as possible, because this is what we are here for.我的課程內容與教學風格
Based on your needs we can have one of these types of lessons:
📚 a classic kind of lessons with books, learning materials and homework in which you will learn the Russian language in a structured way
💬 a speaking practice lessons, where we discuss a variety of topics and you will learn the language by expressing yourself
During all my lessons I make notes so that we can later highlight some of your personal grammar or vocabulary issues. Plus you will have a list with all new words and expressions we mentioned at the lesson.
And in the end no mater which kind of lesson you choose, you'll speak a lot, there is no doubts about that 😊

Co-producerTalking to people while shooting videos for Easy Russian and Easy Dutch and working with the text for subtitles helps to look at the language from learner's point of view. The way people speak Russian in real life differs a lot and I use these aspects while teaching.

Really enjoyed my lesson with Katja! I felt super comfortable as she was very patient and attentive while I spoke. I like that she spoke Russian for the duration of the lesson and refrained from speaking in English, unless it was necessary.

Katja is a super teacher. Learning from her is effortless and uncomplicated. She explains the nuances of the language and is very patient when I forget some words. I have not yet had an hour spent with her where I did not feel I haven't 100% benefited from the lesson. I highly recommend her.
