Hello dear language learner,
My name is Henry, I am 34 years old and I love languages! I am a fluent German and Slovak speaker who lived in Germany, Czech Republic and currently in Slovakia.
I studied linguistics, which means I learned about languages, their history, grammar, honed my communication skills and etiquette - all to work as a skilled interpreter and teacher.
With 15 years of dedicated teaching experience, I have had the privilege of guiding countless individuals on their journey to mastering a new language. Language, to me, is more than just a means of communication; it's a bridge that connects people, cultures, and ideas.我的教學經歷
I am patient, calm and friendly. I use mostly my own specialized materials for teaching, but also many books and online material to explain any topic as clean and effective as possible.
I teach since I was 18(now it is 16 years with over 1000 of students): I taught kids, adults or managers in many companies in classes up to 16 people or face-to-face with only one student.
Currently I am working in the Goethe Institute in Bratislava.

The 60 minute lesson is approximately 55 minutes long - This is because mostly all dates are booked out and I need 5 minutes in between the lessons for administrative work. Currently ONLY take adults (16 year old minimum). Thank you for the understanding.我的教材

Im currently working on getting to a B2 level and I feel confident that I can get there with Henry. He points out issues in my language and helps me to fix them, or works with me for a couple lessons to improve them. He also introduces new Grammar ideas or Vocabulary that helps me significantly to improve my language. Thank you! I hope to reach B2!

This was my 110th lesson with Henry. I am a veterinarian with a practice on the Central Coast of California and my wife and I travel frequently to Germany. Both of us have had over 100 lesson with Henry and have made significant progress. Henry is willing to go as quickly or slowly as needed to help us learn the language. I highly recommend him.

Wow, 100 lessons! That's hard to believe! Henry, you are still just as patient and prepared during my 100th lesson as you were during the 1st. When I started, I didn't know ANY German, and I've learned so much. I'm looking forward to the next 100 lessons! :-)

Myself and my nephew took German lessons with Henry in order to prepare my nephew for a-levels (in czech: maturita). The level we started off with was very low, we went through all the topics together, practiced them and talked a lot. Today my nephew did his exam and he not only passed, but he excelled! He got an A (in czech: jedničku:)) I am beyond happy, all the hard work paid off, thank you very much Henry for all your patience, guidance, encouragement and many many German questions you kept coming up with in order to keep the conversations going 😊😁👏
