Hello! My name is Annie, I'm originally from the US (Maine) and I've been living abroad for over 5 years! Currently I am living in St. Petersburg, Russia, where I teach English as well. I love teaching English as well as learning languages, I study Russian, German, and occasionally Swedish and French. I have a pet cat named Baby, who is as sweet as can be. :)我的教學經歷
I received my CELTA 6 years ago in San Francisco, California and then pursued and completed my Masters degree (International Journalism & Global Communications) in Berlin, Germany, as well as in St. Petersburg, Russia. I have my BA in Communications. As far as teaching - I love to motivate my students and make learning a fun, enjoyable experience. I try to make my lessons practical, as well as personalizing them to each student. The importance in my lessons is on speaking :)我的課程內容與教學風格
I enjoy teaching motivated students, and that is my only pre-requisite. I've taught children as young as 2-3, and adults older than 70. I can teach beginners, but prefer my students to have basics covered, simply to make conversation a bit smoother as well as the lesson overall. I tend to have conversation-based lessons, however I also do grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and reading lessons. Of course, I am able to help improve writing as well as I have lots of experience editing both native and foreign-language speakers' work.
I always try to make lessons fun, as well as relevant to your interests and needs, and to build a trusting relationship with my students. :)我的教材
