Hello! I am an English and Indonesian teacher from the United States. My favorite thing ever is to travel! I've been to Mexico, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, and Malaysia, and I can't wait to travel to more countries in the future. I lived in Indonesia for 2 years as a service volunteer, which is where I learned Indonesian. I also studied there at a university in Yogyakarta and was an intern at Indonesia's national radio station! I am very fascinated with other cultures and traditions. My top priority is to create an environment where you never feel ashamed, nervous, or embarrassed to speak English. Everyone is still learning, including me!
I have been teaching English for over 6 years and Indonesian for more than 4 years. I taught the beginning Indonesian course at my university and was a teacher's assistant for the advanced Indonesian course. I love teaching because it gives me the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds and countries all over the world! I have experience teaching different kinds of people of all different ages. I believe that the most helpful part of my teaching is that I understand what it feels like to learn a new language.我的課程內容與教學風格
I tailor my teaching to every student's needs and my teaching style is relaxed. I believe the best kind of practice for any language is just having casual conversations with a native speaker of that language. If you want to talk about specific topics with me to practice, great! If you have specific questions that you want to ask me about grammar, spelling, pronunciation, etc., great! If you want to practice reading or writing with me, great! Let's do what works for you.
*If I have another lesson scheduled after yours, I will end our lesson 5 minutes early to prepare for the next lesson as per iTalki guidelines.
