My name is Vanessa from Philippines. I was born and raised in Leyte which is why my native language is Cebuano. I worked as a call center agent for 6 years. It was a great experience for me because it enhanced my ability in speaking this beautiful language. I've been an online English teacher for more than six years now, with more than 3500 lessons taught. I have taught English online to different people coming from different countries from beginner to advanced level. In my spare time I love to watch movies, listen to music and recently I started to love vegetable gardening.

In my class I offer different types of lessons and all of these are tailored according to your needs. So just till me about your goals and we can start from there. During the class we can read articles, have a dialogue practice and talk about a certain topic. We can also just talk freely about anything under the sun. The best way to learn a language is to put it in practice so I expect you, the student to speak more in class. I believe this is very effective for you to be more confident in speaking. This is my first class with Vanessa. She conducted an excellent session by listening and helping me introduce myself in Tagalog. She was well prepared for the session and gauged my current level of Tagalog. I discussed with her my learning goals. She will tailor future classes based on my current knowledge of Tagalog and my goal of speaking Tagalog colloquially. I will be continuing to schedule classes with her.

I had an enjoyable second lesson with Vanessa. Her lesson taught when to use the -ng, -g, and na word connectors in a sentence. She was very patient and helped me through some of the exercises. I can see my progress in learning Tagalog and will continue to book classes with Vanessa!
