I'm Jason Rosette, a public speaking, storytelling, communications and voice instructor with 5000+ hours of classroom contact over 15 years of teaching. I have a BFA (Film & TV) a Cambridge CELTA, an MA in International Development, and a huge number of media, audio and VO credits.

I'm a friendly, dynamic, creative, student-centered public speaking and communications coach with experience teaching learners of all ages. In addition, I'm an award winning multimedia producer with a background in voiceovers, talent direction in film and on stage, storytelling for all media, and vocal performance in music and audio production, and related areas.

My teaching style is student centered, creative, and active. All sessions are customized to the needs of each specific student, so there is no 'cookie cutter' approach. I adapt to any approach needed by each student with a thorough diagnostic and discussion held in our introductory session.

Academic Writing LecturerAt CamEd, I taught bachelor level academic writing in a face to face environment, with an emphasis on literature analysis and essay writing for business purposes.
2019 - 2024
Public Speaking & Presentation Skills InstructorStarting around the time of the Covid-19 pandemic, I began to coach public speaking, presentation skills, vocal dynamics, and accent reduction on a range of platforms. Prior to this, I had been instructing in these areas mainly in face-to-face classroom environments.
2017 - 2019
Design LecturerTaught bachelor level design and multimedia courses at Limkokwing University, a Malaysia-based international design university. Subjects include: Video Editing, Short Film and Documentary Production, Cinematography, Design Management, Motion Graphics, 3D Modelling with Blender and Unity, Computer Graphics, and Interaction Design.

Multimedia and Digital ProducerI've been active as a multimedia and digital producer since 2000, with the production of my first award winning documentary, 'BookWars' (Terrific - LA Times). Since then, I've focused on the production of long form audio (podcast, audiobooks, and audiodramas), and have produced, narrated and engineered numerous titles.

Design & Art History LecturerTaught bachelor level art and design courses in English at Phnom Penh International Institute of the Arts, including: Art History, Video Editing, Sound Design for Video, Motion Graphics, History of Graphic Design, and Multimedia Design. Applications include Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and others.

Directing & Documentary Production InstructorDeveloped curriculum and taught production and postproduction techniques for documentary video and media direction to second year Bachelor students at SWU in Bangkok, Thailand. With instruction in English, students learned the director's craft while learning to budget for video productions, develop story concepts, operate cameras and other gear, frame shots, edit, and mix audio in order to deliver final projects.

Communications & Journalism LecturerTaught journalism and fundamentals of communication at Pannasastra University, Cambodia, in their English language Communications program. Topics included marketing communications, print and broadcast journalism concepts, ethics of journalism, news writing & editing, and an overview of the role of media in society.

Video Production InstructorDesigned and taught curriculum, sourced hardware, and helped establish Cambodia’s first ever University-level media production course at RUPP, Department of Media and Communications. Students produced, edited, and output a broad variety of projects in team-based production units. Course culminated in a field trip to the Bangkok International Film Festival and Market, which I produced with the cooperation of festival colleagues in Thailand.

Digital Media InstructorTaught digital video production to first year graduate students at Parsons School of Design, New York City. Practical components included production planning, shooting, editing, and online distribution using then-emerging digital platforms and technologies.
