I am a father in my 40s of two beautiful kids and have been married since 2007. I have grown up in Sydney, Australia and I am a native speaker of English. I am also learning the language from my wife's country of the Philippines and BSL (British Sign Language). I am currently at an intermediate level of both.
My parents came to Australia back in the 1970's from Sri Lanka. I have recently completed my TEFL qualification which enables me to teach online and in the classroom internationally and I am currently learning to teach young learners (0-17 year old). As a student on Italki I thought it would be great to use my skills to help others master the English language as a teacher.我的教學經歷
I have my 168-hr level 5 TEFL certificate so either we can have a structured lesson or a relaxed conversation. Using technology I believe I can help people anywhere in the world looking to master the English language. I prefer to keep my classes’ conversational style and tailor the lessons to each student as we all learn at different speeds and in different ways. I want my students to feel comfortable and relaxed in our classes and either the student can pick some specific topics to discuss that they enjoy or we can just chat and have small talk and see where the lesson takes us.我的課程內容與教學風格
Usually the best way to have a lesson is to have a conversation about current events, hobbies, the weather and many other things. Depending on what the student wants we can talk about anything you are interested in the way of small talk or we can have a more structured lesson relating to questions about the IELTS exam or an equivalent English exam. I also offer trial lessons for those students who are new or a bit hesitant to start with a new tutor which is a great place to meet before making a longer commitment. Thanks for another lesson. Despite 1 a.m. and my sleepiness I had a whale of a time. You can keep the conversation flowing even about something as simple as a tablet cover.
I also really like that you clarify my sentences and try to understand exactly what I mean, and you don't stop until you get it. I appreciate it.

Very nice lesson as always. While our conversation Timothy writes down difficult words, phrases and explainings, so I can come back to them after class and repeat them. I also like his way of introducing new topics or quite fluid changing between them.
I very recommend lessons with Timothy.
