Hello. I’m Barbara. I’m American and I’m a native English speaker, with a master’s degree and a TESOL certificate to teach English to people who speak other languages. I have been teaching general English, business English, and special needs English to students of all levels, from ages 2 to 83, since 1998. I have taught everyone from small children to older kids to teenagers to employees from many international corporations. I can also correct all types of English texts, and translate texts from French to English because I speak French, too. I have also been a professional storyteller and in my spare time I write and illustrate picture books for children, which I sell on Amazon.我的教學經歷

• For children, I have a fun, creative approach, often designing my own materials.

Certified in the Paris region in 2011 and transferred to the Auvergne region in 2016.

I specialize in general English for teens and adults and business English, for everyone from beginners to advanced learners, for international business executives, doctors, lawyers, IT experts, and more. I also specialize in fun materials and activities for kids of all ages. I've been working with children since 1976, as a teacher, storyteller, puppeteer and librarian. I've been learning English with Barbara for several years (5), so my teenage son did. It's wonderful. I adored Barbara since I'd heard her speech here on iTalki and chose her as my teacher. And I didn't regret about it a single lesson. Barbara is a strong and powerful speaker with a huge carisma, but she managed to be a delicate, sensitive companion for conversation and she's very good and sympathetic with children. My son considers her as a one more grandma for their 5-year communication. My child, starting learning English with Barbara when he was 7, now feels himself very freely in English and I think it's a one of the greatest results of their work - where weren't exams, marks and other stressful things, just playing, fun and interesting thing. I strongly recommend Barbara as a teacher for both adults and children.

Barbara is an excellent teacher. My 12-year-old son has been taking lessons with her every week for almost two years. Through her lessons, my son’s English skills have become much more fluent, and he has learned many new words and grammar. Since the lessons are so enjoyable, my 10-year-old daughter has also started taking lessons with Barbara. She is very kind to the children and leads the lessons with interesting topics.
