Hi, I'm Matthew and I'm a friendly native English teacher from the north of England.
I'm optimistic, open minded and outgoing. I find great joy in meeting new people, sharing thoughts & ideas and learning about different cultures. I don't have many 'hobbies' to be honest, but I do enjoy travelling, music and cooking. I also appreciate being in nature and having good fun.我的教學經歷
I'm a passionate English teacher who helps intermediate to advanced students reach English fluency and proficiency. I have 13 years of experience teaching students from all around the world. I can help motivate you to practice English in the most effective ways. Whether you want to improve your English for everyday life, work, travel or pleasure, my classes can help you. My classes can help you to gain more speaking confidence with regular interaction. Furthermore, I can help you to develop your English fluency and pronunciation skills. In addition to that i can help you to widen your vocabulary by talking about a variety of interesting topics. My main goal is to help you practice the English you already know. I also specialise in helping students reach their desired level of English.
My teaching style is friendly, motivational, engaging along with a good sense of humour.
Whether you want to improve your English for everyday life, work, travel or pleasure, my classes can certainly help you. Each class is professional as well as fun and engaging.

Today, I had my first lesson concerning accent reduction. We touched on a variety of different topics starting with sounds and ending with how to properly position your tongue.
Matthew knows how to get across information in a graspable and efficient fashion which is very crucial for lessons. Overall, the lesson has lived up to my high expectations.

I had a fantastic lesson with Matthew! We focused on British idioms, which can be used in daily life. He explained everything in such a vivid way. His teaching style is so relaxed and humorous. I feel 30 minutes is too short. If you're looking for a teacher who makes complex topics easy to understand and enjoyable, I highly recommend Matthew!
