Languages have always been a passion throughout my life, and teaching them is truly a pleasure for me. Also, one of the reasons I love my job is that I truly enjoy meeting new people, and language teaching allows me to get to know interesting people, and know more about different countries and cultures. As someone with a passion for traveling, teaching languages is truly a way of traveling without leaving my home.我的教學經歷
The characteristics I appreciate in language teachers are the same that I try to emulate; Enthusiasm, patience, kindness, sensitivity and sense of mission. I love learning languages myself, and so I try to transmit that same passion to my students, while acknowledging that each language learning journey is unique. In the end, motivating my students to continue working, while being there for all their questions, doubts and bumps on the road is for me as important as being super knowledgeable about the language you teach (which is also very important!).我的課程內容與教學風格
I believe confidence, motivation and fun are keys ingredients in language learning, so I really strive to offer them in my classes. I also believe each person has their own way of learning, and the teacher's methods should adapt to the student, and not the other way around. So I really make an effort to personalise my teaching style to suit my students.我的教材

2015 - 2017
English TeacherI taught English at Sesame street English, to children from 5 to 15. This experience helped me improve my teaching methods and level of engagement with students since children have a very low threshold for boredom.
2015 - 2016
Portuguese TeacherI taught small classes but I also did online classes with Zabaan. I learned to tailor my approach to the needs of my students, who had different goals when it came to learning Portuguese.

Portuguese teacherI taught Portuguese to European Volunteers that had come to Lisbon. They came from different countries so I learned to adapt my teaching according to the students L1 language.

Anita's classes are always fun and informative. She is a great teacher who makes you feel at ease during the class. I would recommend her to everyone but especially anyone who is hesitant or nervous about learning Portuguese :)

I've been working with Anita for two months in preparation to a trip to Portugal. I would highly recommend scheduling lessons with her! She always comes prepared with plenty of exercises for us that are perfectly matched to my level of fluency. She uses Google Docs to track what I say during the lesson, which allows me to remember what mistakes I make and work towards correcting them. These lessons have been immensely helpful!

Really enjoyed it - again! Anita is such a kind and patient teacher, I very much appreciate it. Her classes are just what I need now. I feel I am learning at my own pace, and my teacher really listens to, and responds to my individual needs. Muito obrigada!
