I am a native Greek speaker and a language enthusiast. I have a passion for my language and languages in general. I can speak English and Indonesian fluently, as well as Spanish and French at an intermediate level. I grew up in Greece and went to university there but now I live on the beautiful island of Bali where I teach languages at an international school. I enjoy learning languages myself, as well as reading, music, world affairs, and of course travelling. I have many other hobbies which change regularly so I can talk about a variety of issues. I have lived in four different countries and I have experience in intercultural communication.我的教學經歷
I have a Master's degree in Linguistics, which included Applied Linguistics and Language Teaching, from the University of Essex. I have 5 years of experience as a professional language teacher at international schools. I started teaching Greek in 2012 and English in 2016.

I try to design lessons with clear objectives to make sure students learn the grammar and vocabulary they need to know, but I also make sure my lessons are fun and include lots of conversation practice. I can accommodate requests for various types of classes, such as conversation practice and grammar study. I teach teenagers above 14 and adults.

As someone who didn’t even know how to read the Greek alphabets, I have made a huge progress since taking classes with Thanasis. He’s very patient, and his great sense of humour makes the class even more fun; at the same time, he keeps his students motivated with exercises and homework.
I highly recommend his class to anyone wanting to learn Greek; you’ll have a good laugh and you’ll learn so much at the same time.

I already completed two classes with Thanasis, and as myself who has taken numerous language classes in the past, I find he is an excellent teacher. His classes are well-structured and is a lot of fun, which keeps me motivated. Given Greek is a difficult language, i think it really helps. I look forward to continuing my Greek lessons with Thanasis. ευχάριστο, θανάσης!
