Hello! I'm Riho :)
I was born and raised in Nagasaki prefecture, but currently I live in the UK on a working holiday visa. Before coming to the UK, I worked on a flower farm for five years, so I know a bit about flowers. I've spent the past four years studying English by myself. In my free time, I like making all kinds of things. In my spare time I do a lot of woodwork, cooking, drawing, and painting.
Unlike most other Japanese people, I haven't travelled very much and corona hasn't helped much. I'm looking for places to visit while I'm in the UK so if you know anywhere that might be of interest, please let me know!我的教學經歷
I have unofficially taught Japanese for two years, and self-taught English for four years so I know that it's difficult to make progress in a language without some outside help and so I'm here to be your support. By talking to a native speaker, you will be able to improve your Japanese. Many people have told me that I am quite easy to talk to, so I'm also hoping that we can be friends.我的課程內容與教學風格
For beginners:
- Hiragana and Katakana practice
- Free conversation
- Vocabulary quizzes
- Beginners textbooks (Genki, or your own)
For intermediates and above:
- Free conversation
- Essay corrections
- Reading and comprehension (news/magazine articles etc)
- Intermediate textbooks (usu. 上級へのとびら)
I also offer pronunciation/pitch accent correction, assistance with Kanji and hand writing *for all levels.*

Riho-san is an excellent teacher! Our sessions are always fun - we have a good rapport and Riho-san is a cheerful and encouraging person. Not just fun, they are also properly educational - Riho-san upholds the teacher role well, carefully catching my mistakes, and always challenging me to improve my weaker areas. I had not spoken with a native speaker before this, and already after ~10 hours I feel that my confidence and skill have improved dramatically. Thank you Riho-san!
