Bonjour! Would you like to learn to speak real-life French confidently while having fun? :)
I’m a native qualified French teacher from Paris with over 10 years’ experience. Passionate about helping people reach their goals, I love supporting motivated students on their French learning journey! I teach in an engaging, dynamic way and love providing insights into the French way of life.
As an open-minded, curious person I’m happy to talk about pretty much everything: everyday life, society, music, film, food, family & friends, cultural differences... We’ll never run out of topics to explore!
I love discovering other cultures and languages and have lived in the UK, Greece and Thailand.我的教學經歷
An accomplished linguist, I have an MA in English Studies and many years’ experience working as a French teacher and translator; I have three teaching qualifications (Teaching French as a Foreign Language Today (Alliance Française - CAVILAM), PTLLS and TESOL) and am bilingual in French/English, having lived 12 years in the UK.
Enthusiastic and patient, I provide my students with a very positive and supportive learning environment.
I have also received training in coaching and use my coaching skills to keep students motivated and help them grow in confidence.
I strive to make my lessons as varied, engaging and efficient as possible and I’m always updating my methods and teaching materials.我的課程內容與教學風格
Before starting, I will ask you about your goals and interests to tailor my lessons to your needs.
I use conversation as one of my main tools, so you’ll get plenty of talking time. We’ll also be using a wide range of resources (articles, videos, music, recordings…) to help you practice various skills. We will share a Google Doc, and I can give you homework.
I could also give you tips before a trip/move to France and provide you with insider knowledge on food, the exciting current French music scene, how to navigate social life in France, or the best French podcasts and YouTube channels.

I can't find my paper diploma and don't have a scanned version, so I have attached an email by Cornwall College confirming that I obtained it. I could ask for a duplicate if needed.

This was my first session with Marie and I will definitely be booking more! She was very friendly and easy to talk to, the lesson was super well prepared and tailored exactly to my needs and interests which was great! Wow! Marie was so prepared with a whole list of resources for me to use! She took time to explain new concepts to me, and she clearly put a lot of effort into this lesson. I am so impressed with her dedication, and I highly recommend her.
