Mónica Samudio

Monica is the best teacher I have found on iTalki. We practice all four skills and my Spanish is improving rapidly. She is interesting to talk to and the lessons are really fun. Monica speaks clearly and uses a wide range of simple yet interesting materials. I am always amazed at how much I understand when I'm in a lesson with her. Highly recommended!

Mónica is an exceptional teacher who is highly creative and has a deep cultural appreciation, she integrates language learning with fun activities and imaginative teaching methods. Mónica creates a confortable place to talk about anything from cultural insights to societal norms and personal growth. Her approach embodies the reason why we learn new languages.

Mónica is not only an excellent tutor in the skillsets one would expect, but brings a creativity and a breadth of cultural background, knowledge and familiarity that is rare. If you have interests in literature, theatre or the arts in general, she will find and offer those as a conduit for the language learning, so that one finds oneself with many new resources to continue learning on more than one level.

Monica is one of the best teachers of Spanish that I have encountered in some 2 decades of studying this language. In addition to listening carefully, she always has something new to either present or consider, particularly in issues of culture and how people really live in Latin America.

This teacher is exceptional in her ability to expand, open up, or deepen the material to encompass other possibilities, without being critical in any way. She also is able to differentiate between errors, grammatical or otherwise, and more effective ways to communicate.
