Really enjoyed my first lesson. I felt that I was beginning to speak Mandarin having never spoken it before.

Serena is a fun teacher. She will ask me questions before class to prepare and then I answer those prompts, but we go into greater detail in the answers than what I prepare. It's always very interesting.

Serena was so patient and helpful in class. I really like that she would write down what I was saying and then correct my language in her writing to help me understand the mistakes I was making such that my conversation could be more natural moving forward. She then sent me the document she was working on and using throughout class, so I could go back and practice the new words and structures I learned in class. She was very helpful as an instructor of conversation and I will definitely book her again to that end.

As always Serena was enthusiastic in her teaching. Her lessons are clear and invariably augmented what I already knew.

Serena contacted me right away to find out what my goals were before our first class. She was very well prepared for our first lesson. I did not know what level I am in HSK so we reviewed HSK 1. She went straight into the review. I am surprised at how much she was able to cover in a short time. It was fast paced and intense but it kept my attention. She sent me the material we reviewed at the end of the lesson. Thank you!
