Hello, everyone! I am Elena. I am from Guangzhou, a city in south China.
My Chinese name is Jiaxian; I am a native speaker of Mandarin and Cantonese.
I have been working as a language school teacher in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English for over five years. I mainly teach international students. In the classroom, I teach the language and share cultural and historical knowledge.我的教學經歷
I already have 5years of experience in online teaching, with certification to teach Chinese and English to adults and children. Also, I have completed IELTS teacher training courses with a certificate.
When I was in New Zealand for a working holiday a few years ago, I realized that learning their language is always the best way to know more about different cultures. That's why I want to help people who learn about the Chinese language and culture. My teaching style is patient, kind, and friendly. We can discuss whatever you need help with, whether reading, writing, listening, or speaking. I like to personalize the content to suit better topics that you are interested in and keep you engaged.
I used to work in the retail and management industry and enjoy communicating with people. We would have many topics for our conversation, such as travel, business, daily life, etc. I hope my class can make you feel comfortable practicing as much as possible.

After experiencing lessons with other teachers, I can confidently say that I REALLY enjoyed my second class with her! She made learning fun, and our lesson was well-structured yet flexible, allowing me to speak a lot without feeling lost or unsure of what to say.
