Hi, I'm Lim from Korea :) I have had an intense passion for other languages and cultures since I was very young. I am a language lover and I hope to pass on my passion to others. I hold a bachelor's degree in Korean and English Language and Literature specialized in Second Language Acquisition. I worked as a journalist for a year after graduating from college, so I could cultivate my writing and speaking skills through full-time journalism jobs.我的教學經歷
I’m interested in not only learning foreign languages but also in teaching Korean to international learners. During my university years, I taught Korean to exchange students from different backgrounds and helped them achieve their goals. I usually correct their journals written in Korean and help them improve their conversational skills in formal and informal settings. I also taught Korean to adult learners who prepared for the TOPIK exam and they've got level 4-6 on that exam. I realized, however, that there is a huge gap between what I know and being a teacher to someone. That motivates me to study Second Language Acquisition deeply, so I took a lot of TESOL/TKSOL classes in college.我的課程內容與教學風格
As a previous journalist, I can help you improve your speaking fluency and writing skills. More particularly, I will give my corrections and feedbacks to you and review them together at the end of every class. If you just want to practice your conversation skills without textbooks, I can prepare interesting materials for you. In the trial lesson, I will ask what you want from your classes and then I will make a plan for individually customized lessons based on your level and goals. I will try to integrate the four language skills (reading/listening/speaking/writing) in every class so that your Korean will be well-rounded development and progress in all areas of language learning.我的教材

I’m always grateful for 정은 쌤 for her clear explanation and enthusiasm in teaching. She devotes a lot in preparing each lesson and is always to happy to tailor make the content based on my interest. Mostly important we share lots of common interests, from history to pop culture, politics and languages. Today we continued our discussion on Korean politics and midterm election, and then talked about the currently very popular drama Queen of Tears. On top of this, we still managed to go through my homework and learnt a few more adjectives of emotions!!

I’m so glad to meet JE 쌤 again after three weeks break. We had wonderful conversation about both my recent life and the work on the Korean Nobel laureate Han Kang. We read through the opening paragraphs of her The Vegetarian, and I learnt a lot of new vocabulary in the process. And we also discussed the role of translation in literature. The class is always so rewarding! It’s really my fortune to have met JE as my korean teacher.
