My name is Giannis Silligardakis and I am a Greek teacher and linguist. I was born in the Greek island of Crete and speak Modern Greek as my native language I have studied Ancient Greek history and language in university, which gives me an extensive knowledge of both the Greek language and culture past and present. I also have experience offering Ancient Greek lessons to high school students and I have spent a number of years teaching Modern Greek to foreigners who immigrated to Crete.我的教學經歷
I am a flexible teacher because I understand that all students learn in different ways and at different paces. My strengths are, disciplined, prepared, friendly with new technology, friendly with students and motivator. I enjoy sharing my language and culture with others.我的課程內容與教學風格
Depending on the needs of my students I use both the grammar- translation and the direct approach. On the one hand I teach grammar rules in the students' mother tongue and on the other hand I use a modern conversational style in the target language with dialogues. Material is first presented orally with actions or pictures and the mother tongue is used rarely.我的教材

I really enjoy the Greek lessons with Ioannis. He is always very committed, giving me suitable exercises for my level of knowledge and pushing me to go further on Greek language.
