My name is Erick Waiswa. I am born and raised in Kampala Uganda. I graduated from the University with a bachelor of Information Technology but I love teaching and Learning languages. Luganda is my native language as well as English, Ugandan sign language is one of my favorite language. I love making new friends, travelling and learning languages and different cultures.我的教學經歷
I have been teaching officially as a community teacher since 2014. I have been teaching Luganda and Ugandan Sign Language in groups and to individuals. I teach those who start to speak a new language and those who want to improve their grammar, from children to adults.我的課程內容與教學風格
Every language is picked by its sound. So we begin with sounds of the language except for sign language. Then I prepare the subsequent topics depending on the needs of the student. I use power point slides that suit my students depending on their age or level of language proficiency. One thing we are sure is we all make mistakes this is part of the adventure. So Laugh, Learn, and Go on.我的教材

I'm approaching 2 years of Luganda lessons with Erick, and I still enjoy every lesson just as much as when I first began. He is a magnificent and knowledgeable teacher who keeps challenging me with new assignments and topics for discussion. At the same he is extremely helpful and patient when I struggle with the language which I can at times find challenging. His encouragement keeps me going, and while there's still plenty for me to uncover in the language, with his teaching I am miles ahead of where I would be on my own. Thank you so much, Erick!

Erick's lessons are always enjoyable & thoroughly prepared, but I also admire him a lot for creating his own system to teach Luganda, for diving deep into all that confusing linguistics matter to find answers to his students' questions & to present better explanations. Luganda is my first African language to really get acquainted with & there are so many fascinating things to discover but thanks to Erick it never feels impossible 😊
