Hi everyone, I’m Arthur, originally I'm from near Manchester, but now live in Sheffield, UK. I studied Marketing in Liverpool at LJMU. I am a big Manchester United fan and was a season ticket holder at Old Trafford for many years, but gave this up when I left the UK to work as an English teacher in Taiwan. I love travelling and visiting other countries, and before Taiwan, I taught on italki whilst travelling Europe. I am now back on italki whilst studying.
I have equal amounts of experience teaching adults and children, in Taiwan I taught a variety of age groups (2-14), but primarily kindergarten. Prior to this I taught mostly adults here on italki.我的教學經歷
I will make every effort to make you feel comfortable and relaxed when practicing and trying to improve. I feel that what makes me a good teacher is my ability to effectively explain things to people in a way that they understand, and have developed as a teacher during my time in Taiwan and training to be a licenced teacher in UK schools. I'm happy to speak about any subject, but it's worth mentioning my professional experience - most notably in recruitment for the IT and Finance sectors, and my background in Marketing. I'm happy to use this experience to help you if I can, including preparation for job interviews, guidance on CV’s and covering letters, and with industry specific language.我的課程內容與教學風格
**note for kids lessons please message me in advance to discuss needs and so I can prepare. Please do not book the adult class for kids**
KIDS: age and ability dependent, work through materials together, starting from the childs current ability level. This can be a "general" class, or focussed on specific areas (eg. phonics, graphemes and word building for reading). Shorter lessons are better with kids, but italki rules mean I have to offer hour long lessons. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THE HOUR LONG LESSONS. THESE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
ADULTS: customisable to your needs, generally tend to have relaxed conversation with breaks for corrections. Can also do interview prep/careers or IELTS/test prep.我的教材

Thanks Arthur for his approaching to the classes. It’s always very interesting and knowledgeable. I feel comfortable myself studying English with him. Every lesson is filled with humour and fun. There will be no boring classes as I had previous at the other courses. Arthur will give you something new which is quite useful and may be applied in your English practice in the following day literally. I have got more confident in my English since I started working with Arthur. There is a shy no longer. I became more fluently in speaking and audition. For whom who wants to strength English skills and practice I would recommend to take classes with Arthur. Let’s try out and no disappointment is guarantied. It was checked by myself.
